Japanese culture has its origins dating back thousands of years and it’s distinctive culture and specialized art and crafts have been cultivated throughout Japanese history. To date, most of these cultures and crafts are inherited and passed down from generation to generation.
However, with modernization and a new era of generation, Japanese traditional culture including art crafting has been changed in many aspects.
For example, some of the traditional culture has been disappearing with time and some specialized handcraft methods by skilled craftsmen have been changed to mass production by machine.
Our mission is to introduce Japanese traditional culture, dedicated handmade goods (and procedure) and the history to the people who are interested in Japan via this website.
What is your impression of Japan?
Sushi? Ninja? Mt Fuji? Tempura? Cherry blossom?
In Japan, we have many things we would like to introduce to you such as delicious foods, beautiful scenic locations and traditional art and crafts.
Here, in this website, we choose some of them and introduce details hoping that you can explore in depth our Japanese traditional culture.
